Where Have WE Been?? Where Have YOU Been?!

We've missed you! It's been a long time since November's R2RJ, and even longer than that since we've seen some of you. But we've been staying busy, and we're sure you have too. The HIDiots have been involved in shows, readings, workshops, and more! Exciting, right? We know! And we want you to be a part of it all as we move forward.

For example, this past weekend was one of our more theatrically saturated. First, Artistic Director David Andrew Laws co-facilitated a workshop with Sarah Plotkin of the Electric Eye Ensemble! Sarah and EEE hold a monthly Artist Gym for performers and non-performers alike to gather in a safe space and create together. Exercises were led, pieces were created, and many thoughts, emotions, and illuminations were awakened. If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, you should e-mail electriceyeinfo@gmail.com and join them!

And it's definitely not a cult. We promise.

Almost immediately after that, David was at it again, leading a workshop on bringing Commedia dell'arte into a modern context. Long-time HIDiots and fresh faces alike, they played diligently to create from today's New York City archetypes. With characters like the Hipster Barista, Fresh-Faced New Yorker, and Department of Citywide Administrative Services Worker, the 16th Century Italians would have been proud (and possibly a little bit intimidated).

Molto intimidito.

Besides that, we've had HIDiots in Proof, a show about Typhoid Mary, shadowing a Juilliard, and more! Not only do we want to hear about all of your spectacular adventures, but we want to bring you along on all of ours. So, if you haven't already, subscribe to our Mailing List and join us on social media. It's the only way you can be certain not to miss an ounce of HIDiocy.

We miss you, we love you, and let's not go so long without seeing each other. Deal? Deal.
