Artist's depiction of the casting process. |
HID: First thing’s first: What’s Don Armado’s favorite color and why?
JD: Armado's Favorite color is Burgundy because it represents royalty and he feels that the use of it get's him closer to be a Royal.
HID:Armado becomes very poetic over the course of the play. Do you have a favorite poem in your life?
JD: I've never been a big fan of poems as Armado is but there is poem I do enjoy reading once in a while... let's play something (a poem dedicated to hip humans) by Ted Joans.
HID: He’s also very combative. In a knock-down, drag-out fight, what would be your weapon of choice?
JD: A gun that shoots poop. Humiliation is a must in a fight (fart sound).
HID: He also uses a lot of words incorrectly. Has there ever been a time you found out you’d accidentally been using the wrong word or words?
JD: Every day. When I first arrived to the US I would refer to my forehead as my foreskin. Ex. I'm dizzy I feel a lot of tension in my foreskin.
(Editor: Jose actually presented us with an "alternative answer" for this question:
"if the response to the 4th question is too intense for our target reader. change it to 'corn jsnkkbdksndbijh LOL bhjvdjhvs llok sbshhsk ii I msg mean . my English es real bueno'."
HID: Anything else we need to know about you or the show itself?
JD: Go see the show, so I don't have explain it to you and after take me out for coffee (you pay) and I'll tell you more about myself.
You heard the man! Get down here! Take him for coffee. After you see his performance, you won't take no for an answer. (Though you might have to wait in a line.)
